Scouting Report: When you look for a player at linebacker you look for a physical player, you look for a guy who never takes himself out of plays, who can make the big tackles, and who can find the holes in the defense on a blitz. That guy is all that wrapped into one in Kemp MLB/OLB Boomer Irvin. He brings good size to the position, good anticipation on the snap count and has the ability to drop back into coverage and stay with a slot receiver or tight end to put himself in a position to make a play on the ball. He’s got two more years to get a little bigger weight wise but that isn’t a hard thing for a player at his size to do. He’s going to start getting a lot more attention if his play continues the way it shows on film.
