Scouting Report: David Wilson steps into his senior season with the spotlight shining brightly on him as he steps out of the shadows of linebacker Caden McDonald, who’s on his way to San Diego State, the would be star and the attention getting for Justin Northwest HS. With McDonald on his way to the west coast, it’s time for Wilson to step into that role and be the big time playmaker he has already shown himself to be.

Whether is beating the offensive lineman around the corner, pushing through a double team, or making a play on the quarterback, Wilson is that kind of player that makes people sit up and take notice. While he played at the defensive end position last season, he could take a few steps back into a linebacker role. If he does well there it could make him a very marketable player for schools looking for an athlete who can do both and be athletic enough to pull them off with star like quality.

Wilson is set for a big time senior season just based on the kind of plays he made as a junior. His senior season could be his coming out party.
