Name: Jordan Kempf

Height: 5’11”

Weight: 185

School: Rockwall Heath HS (Rockwall, TX) — Has transferred to Kemp HS (Kemp, TX)

Class: 2018

Scouting Report: Jordan Kemp won’t strike you as a running back that is going to run away from you. He’s not a guy that’s going to hit the hole and have the kind of breakaway speed that you’ll see in a lot of running backs.

But the biggest reason I like Kempf is his versatility at the position. First play on his film he makes a one-handed catch so right off the bat you know he’s a guy who can make a play out of the backfield and he’s not just a guy that’s going to give up five to 10 yards through line of scrimmage.

I’ve always been a fan of the prototypical fullback type player and that’s what Kempf strikes me as when I watch his film. He’s a big guy at 185 pounds and he keeps those legs churning even after initial contact. He’s one of those guys who can put more muscle on his 5’11” frame and can get out in front to provide a block or two to open up a running lane. I think Kempf is a very underrated player.
