Martavian Jackson, 2019 QB/WR, Galveston Ball HS

Martavian Jackson is a match up nightmare for any defense. (Image: Jennifer Reynolds/The Daily News)

When I look at a quarterback there’s nothing I like more than a guy who can stand in the pocket and find his receivers. I wanted to start this off honestly so you don’t think I’m showing any sort of bias when I talk about dual threat quarterback Martavian Jackson. What I like so much about this young man is the kind of speed he has which gives him time to get out of the pocket, roll to one side or another, and make a decision with the football. He forces defenses to stay honest because they don’t know what he’s going to do. He has the arm to make the throws he needs to make and the speed to pick up big time yards or break a long touchdown run. If coaches don’t like him at quarterback he would be a match up nightmare at wide receiver.
